Welcome to the Lutheran Community Care Centre

The Lutheran Community Care Centre is a Social Service organization of the Lutheran churches in the Thunder Bay Area. Established in 1979, the Care Centre provides an array of services that are dynamic - changing as the needs of the community change. A common theme among all our services is a holistic approach and a focus on advocacy especially for disadvantaged individuals.

Many of our services are provided through government contracts while others rely on donations and non-government resources to operate. Currently the groups of people we focus on are adults with a developmental disability, older adults in both community and facility settings, people who spend a lot of their time on the street, and families and individuals with counselling needs.

Circle of Friends Choir

One of the many special programs that the Lutheran Community Care Centre is involved in is the Circle of Friends Choir. The choir is very unique in that most of its members are people with developmental disabilities who just love to sing and love the atmosphere of friendship and fun in the group.
