This website has information about the services provided by the Lutheran Community Care Centre of Thunder Bay as well as volunteer and donation (time, talent and financial) opportunities for those who want to join us in caring for individuals and families in the community.

Member Congregations:

The Lutheran Community Care Centre is a social ministry organization of the Lutheran Churches in the Thunder Bay area. The Board of Directors consists of representatives from the member congregations. Some of churches and national organizations listed below have websites of their own. Services of the Lutheran Community Care Centre:

Pastoral Care Workers travel to hospitals, nursing homes and other places to visit and provide worship and devotional opportunities to individuals and groups.

The Care Centre's StreetReach Street Chaplain provides spiritual care, referral and support for individuals living on the streets of Thunder Bay and in the homeless shelters.

Community Support Services pr Thunder Bay and in the homeless shelters.

Community Support Services provides co-ordinated access (Central Access Point) to services for adults with a developmental disability, advocacy services and opportunities for community and recreational activity.

Luther Court Support Services provides advocacy, referral and co-ordination services to seniors living in the community.

Transitional Support Services assists young adults with a developmental disability make a successful transition from school to community life.
